FAQs

What are the age and residency requirements for purchasing recreational marijuana?

Any adult, resident, or non-resident, with proper identification that is at least 21 years of age may purchase recreational marijuana from a dispensary.

Is there a limit to how much I can purchase?

There is a limit to how much an individual may possess at any one time, but not necessarily a limit on how much you may purchase. No one may have more than one ounce of flower in their possession which also equates to 800 mg of edibles or 8 grams of concentrate.

Can I drive with marijuana in my car?

If you have just purchased products from a dispensary, you may be wondering how to legally get it home. The general rules are that the products must be sealed (think open container rules with alcohol), you may not consume or smoke in the car, and the product should be out of reach of the driver and passengers. For best practices, once you purchase any cannabis product, keep it in the sealed packaging from the dispensary and place it in your trunk before driving home.

Where is it legal to smoke marijuana that I purchase?

It is illegal to smoke anywhere openly and publicly. You can not walk down the sidewalk smoking, or light up in a national park, nor in a dispensary. The only acceptable place to smoke weed is on private property where the owner is alright with cannabis use. If you are staying at a hotel or Airbnb, please be sure to check with management before sparking a joint in the room.

Do you accept cash and debit cards?

Yes, we accept cash and debit cards. There is also an atm on site.

Do you have a rewards program?

Yes, here at the Kind Castle we offer a rewards program through Blackbird. Come in to the store and talk with one of our knowledgeable budtenders to sign up and start earning cumulative points.

Can I drive or fly with marijuana out of the state?

No, you may not cross Colorado state lines while in possession of any marijuana products. This is illegal and you could face fines and or jail time if you attempt to.

Will my name end up on a government list if I purchase marijuana products from a dispensary?

The government actually prohibits any tracking of customers to ensure the anonymity of anyone making a purchase. While your ID is checked, and you will be recorded on security video, your personal information and your purchase history will not be recorded.

Can I consume or smoke cannabis and then drive?

The simple answer is no. You can receive a DUI if you are pulled over under certain conditions – so to play it safe, if you have smoked in the last 4-6 hours please avoid driving or operating any heavy machinery.

Can I return any products to the store?

All sales are final, and we cannot accept any products back into the store. If you have any problems with products, please leave them at home and contact us via email, phone, or in-person at the store, and we will help you resolve the issue.
